How will you eat this weekend?

Eat The Weekend uploads a recipe every Friday that is designed to be quick, easy and requiring minimal ingredients.  These recipes are used in my everyday kitchen and chosen with the frugal shopper and beginner cook in mind.  If you eat the same meals everyday, or opt for fast food/takeout instead of cooking, Eat The Weekend is all about providing an alternative.

Personally, I grew up in a home that didn’t have a cooker (or hot water or heating!) and cooking remained a mystery to me until I was early 30s and 70 lbs (that’s 5 stone!) overweight.  It took a lot of trial, error and perseverance in the kitchen to move to a diet beyond microwave pizza and share-size bags of crisps (chips, to Americans!).
